Project guidelines

The Vella Way.

Good editing begins with a smooth working relationship. These simple guidelines help me give your project the time, care and creative attention it deserves.

Your side

What I need from you.

Send everything together

Please send your footage, brand assets and instructions together, with files clearly named and organised. Missing or unlabelled files can delay the edit.

Share the direction

Tell me what the video is for, who it is speaking to and any references you want me to keep in mind before editing begins.

Keep feedback in one place

Please combine your notes into one clear message or document for each revision round so nothing gets missed.

Reply within three days

Timely feedback helps me protect your delivery schedule. If I do not hear back within 72 hours, the project timeline may need to move.

Download your final files

Please download and safely store the finished files once they are delivered.

My side

What you can expect from me.

Editing that still feels like you

I will follow the agreed creative direction while protecting your voice, personality and the details that make your content yours.

Clear communication

I will keep you informed about your project and let you know as early as possible if anything affects the agreed timeline.

Careful, confidential handling

Your footage and project information will be treated as private and used only for the agreed work and approved portfolio use.

Work within the chosen package

I will complete everything included in your package. Requests outside that scope may need a separate fee or custom quote.

A respectful creative space

I want every project to feel collaborative and professional. I may pause or end work where communication becomes disrespectful or the agreed boundaries are repeatedly ignored.

Before we get started.

Payment confirms your booking and secures space in my editing schedule. Once editing has begun, payments are non-refundable. By booking with Vella Studios, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these working guidelines.
